Sitka

View of Sitka from Castle Hill.Sitka was the capital of Alaska when it belonged to Russia, and it still has some traces of its Russian history.

I really liked the Mojo Cafe (203 Lincoln Street) - good scones, tasty hummus/veggie sandwich. Just a really nice place to hang out, one of my favorite spots in Alaska.

I stayed at the Sitka Hotel, which I didn't like. Smelled way too strong of room deoderizer and the room had a really bright harsh overhead light. Has an elevator but it was out of order while I was there. The Victoria Restaurant at the hotel was OK.
