I was in Alaska August 16-30, 2003 and it was a fantastic trip. Alaska is a beautiful state and I just started to scratch the surface of all there is to do and see there. I started writing up a trip report to e-mail to those who were interested, and it became too long for an e-mail, so I put up these pages. My main piece of advice? GO!!

In fact, I am going back August 2005. My tentative plans are to go back to Denali and Seward, but to also go to Hatcher Pass, the Alaska State Fair, Talkeetna, Girdwood and Homer.

These are just my personal observations, most of the hotels and other sites are reviewed in travel guides, which provide more details.

I haven't tried to include hours or costs, since they are likely to change and will vary based on the time of the year.
